Good story. I could see this happening, Jim still being resentful but not feeling entitled, but still needing to do something. During this period, he's obviously not initiating any conversation with Blair, either, and is probably not touching, so watching would be even more essential to him, however he rationalized it to himself. And I can well see Blair interpretation and reaction. It's neat how you weave the case in through the story, not spending anything more than essential time on it and yet enabling the plot device that eventually brings down their defensive walls. Also liked the way you handled their awakening to mutual attraction. Hardly any talk, which felt authentic. Thanks.
