I love this--love their "more mature" incarnations, love the almost tactile sensory details in Fraser's internal monologue, the feelings he seems to be aware of yet still can't express well with the resultant pall of regret he wears; and I love Ray, believably mellowed but still completely himself, still pushing and insisting when it's necessary. Also, that's a great little thematic thread in there about Ray hating the cold, it works so well.
