Gah! You people are in fail! Still, [livejournal.com profile] bluebrocade and [livejournal.com profile] dodificus each got one answer right, so to you I will award the crown of not-so-lame. Please tell me fandom, pairing, rating, and any other prompts or kinks or whatever you would like and I'll see what I can do.

And now, the truth about the 8 Truths and 2 Lies Arrow told you:

  1. Arrow went to an all-girls' school where in her first week she got into an altercation with Heidi Glickbarg, who called her "a carpenter's dream".
TRUE. I tore right into her and ripped her purple Speedo.™ (A carpenter's dream means, "flat as a board and easy to nail.")
  2. Arrow's older brother once glued her eyelid shut.
FALSE. This is an apocryphal family tale. The truth is, he asked me to hold his nose cone, which he had recently epoxied. I'm the one who rubbed my eye and glued it shut.
  3. Arrow writes poetry.
TRUE. I just never, ever publish it.
  4. Arrow is afraid of horses.
TRUE. They're BIG and one tried to bite me once. Plus, I can't tell what they're thinking.
  5. Arrow doesn't own a dress.
    TRUE. Not even a skirt. I haven't worn a dress since 1989.
  6. Arrow wore black to her brother's wedding.
FALSE. Are you kidding? My mother would've KILLED me.
  7. Arrow has a medical condition that causes her left hand to tingle and sometimes itch uncontrollably.
TRUE. This is a side-effect of the surgery from the Pinky Incident.
  8. Arrow went sky-diving to get over her fear of heights.
TRUE. I'm still afraid of heights, though. But it did teach me not to fear fear so much. I mean, after you've jumped out of an airplane at 10,000 ft., you can pretty much do anything in spite of the fear.
  9. Arrow won second place at a Kodenkan Jiu-jitsu Rondori tournament.
TRUE. One of my shining moments as an adolescent. Especially since my brother came home with NOTHING.
  10. Arrow plays the flute.
TRUE. But very, very poorly. However, I play a mean ukulele.

Well, that's it. Thanks for playing.

You would have great insight into Blailr's frame of mind when he jumped from the plane, then, since he's afraid of heights too.
Just sayin'
Laurie

ANd why is being called a carpenter's dream a bad thing?

I wonder that too. I would think it would imply "well built." Nevertheless, GO YOU on the Speedo thing.

That BITCH. I'll go smack her too. Where is she?

I think she's a real estate agent in Los Angeles, now. So she's pretty much her own punishment, really.

You know, you're right, Laurie. I should write a missing scene from that ep. :)

Wheeee! Got one! No obligation to write, but if you are so inclined...Sentinel, J/B, R-NC17, prompt: the no good, very bad way Simon found out about Jim and Blair. *eg*

What is up with that x-ray? Are those nails driven into your pinky? AGHGHGH!

Yes. I had a terrible, terrible bike crash last October, and they had to put pins in. Now I have nerve damage that leads to crazy-assed painful tingling and itchiness.

I will try to write your story! I haven't written much Simon, but I'll give it a shot.

It's about time I got something right:) The Sentinel, Jim/Blair, NC17, Jim gets what he deserves.

Also, you should know that I always feel like a complete tool when I have to give prompts to someone. I fail at it so badly:( I always just wanna say 'Do what you want! I'm sure I'll love whatever it is'.

Hm. Could I interpret "gets what he deserves" as him getting Blair? See, I'm not very good at hand-slapping the boys for misbehaving.

I kind of thought it could be left open to (your) interpretation, there's a lot of things it could mean. By all means it could be Jim getting Blair:)

I failed so hard at these! But wow, you are a fascinating woman, what with your zany eye-gluing ways, your equine anxiety and your eschewing of dresses!

Oh, I don't know. I know lots of girls who accidentally epoxy their eyes shut. It's a thing.

Epoxy, smoxy. Yeah, but have you ever soldered your fingers? Not once but twice!

Loved learning more about you, m'dear.

What were you soldering, chica?

Oi--took several stained glass window making courses while in high school--and picked up the soldering iron from the wrong end on the a day that was 95 in the shade. Hot. My fingees throbbed for hours, all during a final in a subject I can no longer remember.
