I'm just. I think I'm still in shock. I watched the returns with a house full of close friends, multiple generations, and it was...unreal. The expressions on people's faces...I was trying to figure out what this weird feeling was and then I realized it was hope.

oh, and I spent two hours phone banking to Iowa and you will note we took that state handily. ::cough::

Hi, me and my sister are from Sweden and we have followed the election, and we're more than happy to see that Barack Obama now is President Barack Obama. Today is also my birthday, so that was a great birthday present! xD

YAY!!!!!!!!!! I live in a hardcore red state, so it's wonderful that other people had more sense and for once the electoral college actually worked!

There's about 7,000 people in my county and Kentucky went for McCain, but go your city. At least Louisville, where my kids live, showed more sense.

I voted for Obama. I didn't watch the returns though. I went all Zenish and decided either he would win or he wouldn't and I could use my time more profitably working on a story for a deadline.

You turned Iowa. I turned Virginia. We have POWRZ, yo.

Now to deal with the moralistic, judgmental, Prop-8-passing assholes.

Ugh, yes, I just woke up and it's really, really close - 53% in favour, 46.9% opposed to Prop 8, with 60% of precincts reporting. For fuck's sake, Q. *gnashes teeth*

Heh. Didn't vote for him. *Didn't vote for McCain either.*

But this means I can honestly make fun of him when he screws up!

oh, I think we all can. just because we chose him doesn't mean we don't get to criticize.

I was so thrilled to cast my vote, though. I can't imagine giving up my chance to have a voice.
