This turning point:

"So help me, Fraser, if you say, 'It's not you, Ray,' I will kick you in the nuts."

"That would require an improbable amount of flexibility on your part."

"Oh, I'm all kinds of flexible." But a smile was starting in the corner of Ray's mouth.

Love this! Well, all of it really, but this especially, this way they complement one another. Fraser's habitual pedantry here is, weirdly, exactly what's needed right now. Ray tends to fly off in all directions at once - doesn't mean he hasn't got the right idea, but it helps for him to have someone pin him down a little, and Fraser's obsessiveness, and his dry, wry sense of humor, while certainly at times making Ray want to smack him upside the head, just as often provide Ray that anchor, help him settle down and focus.

But I get Fraser's hesitation. Telling someone what you like during sex is almost more intimate than actually doing it, and for a guy who tends to internalize everything the way Fraser does... Eeek!
