Date: 2007-06-15 09:41 pm (UTC)The balance of Blair's emotions, Jim's stoic ignoring of the situation, the distance, Megan's kiss pushing Jim over the edge, how Jim's skin won't let him forget -- that's so powerful -- the way Blair digs until he finds out what the problem is and finds a way to fix it; the scorching heat of both blow jobs and that silk, and Jim and Blair growing closer; not schmoopy, but funny and a little painful and also matter-of-fact and real and... man, I could just keep going on. This just so totally works for me.
There are so many lines I love that if I quote them all it would just be a ridiculously long comment, which it's going to be, anyway. But I have to quote *some* of them.
Whenever they were in the same vicinity, Blair just always felt where Jim was in relation to him.
I love that, because I've had that feeling before, and it's true and wonderful, and so totally something Blair would have about Jim.
He thought it was too fucking bad he wasn't a true shaman, with healing powers. He thought in a better world his heart could beat hard enough to travel through the bandages and ease the pain.
Oh, melt. And yes.
and then you have "He thought I'm a sap" and that's just such a perfect Blair coda to the previous thoughts, and so wonderfully written.
There being a "keep-away zone around Jim" -- loving the way you use words all through this, so clean and so vivid.
These -- just grinning, so funny, so perfect:
"Larry's gonna be so jealous."
"Dear Jim's balls—"
Guess you can tell I really, really like this. :-) So *very* glad you've decided to write TS. (Just friended you, don't want to miss anything -- hope that's okay.)
