This fic was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. And I don't mean that in the cheesy movie-of-the-week way, but in the sense that you were able to evoke a whole host of responses in the reader: laughter, pain, fear, anxiety and arousal. And that's tough to do, particuarly in a story of only a few thousand words. And it's a testament to your ability as a writer that you were able to cover so much emotional territory without giving the reader whiplash. I loved each and every sequence: Fraser finally letting Ray know about his father (even if it was an accident); Fraser and Mark sneaking beer, and wee!Fraser suffering spasms of guilt; the final lovemaking sequence (so, so hot - I think this was the first time I've read an anal sex scene that I found as appealing as a good blow job. And that sounded really, really weird).

Some of my favorite bits: Fraser wanting to nibble on Ray's eyebrow "to feel the texture." the way Ra's face "tightened, the bones of his cheeks standing like razors" (which is an amazing description). And the ending was great, too. I hadn't expected it to end on a note of humour but it was the perfect conclusion.
